en.Wedoany.com Reported - Spanish photovoltaic project: Solar360 secures Laverné self-consumption power station contract

The General Irrigation Community of the Bardenas Canal (Comunidad General de Regantes del Canal de las Bárdenas) has awarded the Laverné self-consumption photovoltaic power station project to Solar360, a joint venture between Repsol and Movistar. The project is located in Ejea de los Caballeros, Zaragoza province.

The contract amount is €2.15 million (including VAT), with a total of 15 companies participating in the bidding.

The power station will supply electricity to six pumps at the Laverné reservoir pumping station, which are currently powered by a 66/0.69 kV substation connected to the grid. The station operates in a zero-surplus self-consumption mode and is equipped with an anti-reverse power system. Its rated power is 2.45 MW, with a peak power of 2.987 MWp.

The system design includes 4,704 photovoltaic modules of 635 Wp and seven 350 kW inverters, connected to the pumping station via low-voltage lines. A 2,800 kVA, 800/690 V resin-encapsulated three-phase adapter transformer will be installed at the node, along with necessary protection and adapter distribution cabinets for integration with the existing power system. The modules are mounted on fixed dual-column metal supports in a 2V x 24 layout, accommodating two strings of 24 modules each, with a spacing of 9.6 meters.

The project also plans to replace two variable frequency drives for pumps not yet equipped with them, replacing soft starters to improve energy efficiency and operational control. This tender did not receive funding from EU funds.
