JCB Launches New 3CX Plus Backhoe Loader in Brazil

en.Wedoany.com Reported - JCB has launched the new 3CX Plus backhoe loader in the Brazilian market. As the successor to the current global best-selling model, the 3CX, it is now in production at the Sorocaba plant in São Paulo state, targeting the Latin American market.

The development cycle for this new model spanned 24 months and is part of JCB's strategy to double its business scale in Brazil by 2030. Its primary target customers include the construction industry, equipment rental companies, and agribusinesses.

Carlos França, JCB's Sales and Marketing Director, stated that the strategy behind launching the 3CX Plus is to further expand the company's market share in the backhoe loader segment, where JCB already holds a leading position. He noted that currently, three out of every ten backhoe loaders sold in Brazil are JCB brand; with this launch, the company aims to increase this ratio to four out of ten. The new model features numerous technological advancements that enhance productivity and efficiency on job sites, while also offering a wide range of optional configurations to further strengthen its versatility.

The 3CX Plus is powered by the JCB DieselMax 444 mechanical engine, delivering 92 horsepower and a maximum torque of 408 Nm at 1,200 rpm. A key technical highlight of this model is the standard inclusion of a new hydraulic system with a variable displacement piston pump, achieving a flow rate of 150 liters per minute.

Etelson Hauck, Director of Engineering and Product Strategy for JCB Latin America, emphasized that this launch reflects the company's ongoing commitment to innovation. He stated that the 3CX Plus is an evolution of the mature 3CX model, which JCB has been producing in Brazil since 2016. The ROPS/FOPS certified cab has been completely redesigned with the operator in mind. The new sealing system works in conjunction with a more efficient air conditioning system, featuring 21 strategically positioned vents inside the cab to ensure optimal thermal comfort.
