Wedoany.com Report-Oct 30 , E. ON Next has launched a new energy support programme, promising to deliver up to £250 in aid to thousands of its customers to help with their energy bills. The firm has committed £60million to its Winter Support Scheme, which this year includes providing free credit worth £250 or more based on individual needs, and opportunities to cancel energy debt.

E.ON Next has singled out 60,000 customers as eligible for the scheme and is currently reaching out to them directly to explore the tailored support available, including setting up future payment schemes and fitting smart meters. Altogether, E.ON Next will be contributing an additional £92million in support, bringing this year's total to over £440million in assistance.

The company claims the initiative will "give people a fresh start by cancelling any debt and setting them on a path to affording their energy bills". CEO of E.ON UK, Chris Norbury, commented: "This £92 million package is dedicated to offering direct assistance, such as through our targeted Winter Support Scheme, to help get people out of debt – and to keep them out of debt – by working with them to understand their needs and provide ways of helping them now and into the future."
