en.Wedoany.com Reported - Broadcom's VMware licensing policies continue to impact many partners and customers, prompting Hamburg-based system integrator Hamburgnet to expand its partnership with private cloud alternative Verge.io.

The Hanseatic company will welcome former Seagate executive John Voss on July 1, 2026. Hamburgnet Managing Director Sebastian Schmitzdorff welcomed the "sales expert with extensive industry connections" and expects Voss's expertise to bring significant value to the company and its partners.
Voss has years of experience in sales and business development. During his tenure in management at Apple under Steve Jobs, he introduced the professional music and audio market and developed it into a multi-million dollar sales channel in Europe. His career also includes positions at Avid, Adobe, and most recently Seagate. At Seagate, he first expanded the LaCie brand and later, as sales director, was responsible for establishing the systems division in Central and Eastern Europe.
At Hamburgnet, Voss will focus on building and developing the Verge.io business. He stated that the private cloud market has enormous potential, and through Verge.io, customers can achieve significant savings with leaner technology.
