The pre-sale price for the five-seat high-end Liujin Edition has been announced, starting at 349,000 yuan, and it will officially launch on July 8.
The MB.EA is a pure electric architecture platform developed by Mercedes-Benz specifically for mid-to-large passenger cars. Together with the AMG.EA performance electric vehicle platform and the VAN.EA pure electric MPV platform, it forms Mercedes-Benz's electrification architecture system. In 2021, Mercedes-Benz announced its electrification strategy, and in 2022, it unveiled the VISION EQXX concept car, which achieved an energy consumption of 8.3 kWh/100 km and a range of 1,202 km with a drag coefficient of 0.17. The new all-electric GLC adopts an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture, requiring 22 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. The vehicle's battery pack has a capacity of 89 kWh, with a minimum energy consumption of 13.9 kWh/100 km and a maximum CLTC range of 703 km.
The new all-electric GLC is equipped with front and rear dual motors, delivering a combined maximum power of 463 kW. It can intelligently switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive modes and features a two-speed transmission. In terms of chassis, the vehicle is equipped with the AIRMATIC air suspension, sourced from the same system as the S-Class, along with ADS+ adaptive damping technology, supporting voice-controlled suspension height adjustment. To adapt to Chinese road conditions, the vehicle uses high-cost hydraulic bushings. The rear-wheel steering technology allows a maximum steering angle of 4.5 degrees for the rear wheels, reducing the turning diameter from 12.3 meters to 11.3 meters. At speeds exceeding 120 km/h, the rear wheels can steer in the same direction as the front wheels.
In terms of intelligence, the new car is equipped with the Momenta intelligent assisted driving system, supporting urban and highway full-scenario navigation assistance, covering full-scenario intelligent parking and ETC automatic toll pass functions. The vehicle is available in five-seat and six-seat versions, with a front trunk volume of 128 L and a rear trunk volume of 605 L. Additionally, the luxury pure electric market faces competition from models such as the Tesla Model Y, Xiaomi YU7, Li Auto i8, and AITO M7. The core audience for BBA electric models currently remains primarily brand loyalists. As the first production model on the MB.EA architecture, the new all-electric GLC will be followed by models such as the all-electric C-Class. The final pricing for this vehicle will be announced upon its launch on July 8.
