en.Wedoany.com Reported - Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) has reported gold assay results from the Barlee Gold Project in Western Australia, with drilling at the Gromit prospect delivering the most significant intercept.
Drilling at Gromit intersected 30 meters at an average grade of 1.10 grams per tonne from 12 meters depth, including a high-grade 9-meter section from 24 meters depth grading 2.42 grams per tonne. At the Odie prospect, drilling intersected 11 meters at 0.67 grams per tonne from 28 meters depth, including a 6-meter section from 33 meters depth grading 1.10 grams per tonne. Previous drilling results at the Astro prospect included a 24-meter section grading 0.80 grams per tonne, containing a 12-meter section grading 1.30 grams per tonne, and an 8-meter section grading 0.80 grams per tonne, containing a 2-meter section grading 2.00 grams per tonne.
Mineralization at all three prospects remains open along strike. The Gromit intercept is located 30 meters east of a previous aircore drill hole that intersected 4 meters at 0.53 grams per tonne. At the Odie area, gold mineralization is associated with Banded Iron Formation along the eastern margin of the Diemals Basin.
Managing Director Stuart Fogarty said the initial drilling program delivered intercepts at Astro, Gromit, and Odie, with all three prospects remaining open and offering scope for follow-up. He noted that the high-grade core of the Gromit intercept, at 9 meters grading 2.4 grams per tonne, is particularly compelling.
The company has expanded its landholding, extending the project's strike length to approximately 45 kilometers. Follow-up plans include reverse circulation drilling at all three prospects and expanding geochemical soil coverage over the newly acquired tenements. Duketon Mining is a Western Australian gold exploration company advancing the Barlee Project and continuing to expand its landholding in the highly prospective greenstone belts of the Yilgarn Craton.
