The project is located on Jalan Sri Permaisuri, Kuala Lumpur, with construction scheduled to commence on July 1, 2026, and an expected completion period of 18 months.

Binastra Corp Bhd is a construction company listed on Bursa Malaysia, specializing in building and infrastructure development. This marks the company's second data center project contract secured in the same area of Kuala Lumpur in 2026. Previously, on February 4, 2026, Binastra had obtained a data center contract worth RM503 million, also located on Jalan Sri Permaisuri.

According to filings submitted by Binastra to Bursa Malaysia, the latest contract covers design, construction, testing and commissioning, as well as maintenance and warranty works, under a turnkey engineering model. The scope of work includes foundation works, underground structure construction, main building and infrastructure works, specifically comprising a 7-story data center building, a guardhouse, a garbage room, and a substation. The contract is expected to make positive contributions to the group's earnings, earnings per share, and net assets for the two fiscal years ending January 31, 2027, and January 31, 2028.

In recent years, Malaysia has become a popular destination for global data center investments, driven by relatively low construction costs, a stable investment environment, and increasingly robust digital infrastructure. As the capital and economic hub of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur has attracted numerous data center projects. Binastra's second data center contract further highlights the active state of the local data center construction market. Binastra stated that securing this contract will help the company accumulate more specialized experience in the data center construction sector and strengthen its market position in Malaysia's construction industry.
