en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Eppendorf Group has signed an agreement for a new production site in Penang, Malaysia, planning to build a greenfield manufacturing facility at the Bandar Cassia Technology Park. The project involves an investment of €40 million, with the first products expected to begin production in 2028.

Dr. Christine Munz, CEO of the Eppendorf Group, stated that signing the agreement marks a significant step for the Group; Malaysia has been part of Eppendorf's development in the Asia-Pacific region for over 30 years. The new production site in Penang will be used to expand the global manufacturing network and build a high-performance production platform in Southeast Asia, supporting the Group's long-term growth.
The new plant will produce selected products from Eppendorf's centrifuge and instrument portfolio. Eppendorf expects the site to employ approximately 130 employees by the end of 2029.
