en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Minas Gerais state government announced the launch of the expansion project for the BR-365 highway between Uberlândia and Patrocínio, covering a total length of 46 kilometers (31 km in the Uberlândia section and 15 km in the Patrocínio section), with an investment of 265 million reais, and is expected to be completed by 2028.

The project aims to enhance the capacity and safety of a key logistics corridor in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba regions. The Minas Gerais state government stated that the project is expected to create over 5,000 jobs, boost the regional economy, and improve commuting conditions for those engaged in production activities along the BR-365 highway.

Initially, the plan was to expand a 36.1-kilometer stretch. In February of this year, following adjustments to the concession contract between the Minas Gerais State Transport Regulatory Agency (Artemig) and EPR Triângulo, which converted the final concession fee into investment, the expanded section was increased by 10.3 kilometers (5.6 km in the Uberlândia section and 4.7 km in the Patrocínio section). The adjustments also include the early implementation of approximately 5 kilometers of a third lane on the MGC-452 highway near Uberlândia.

Additionally, the Minas Gerais State Economic Development Agency (Sede-MG) has released two guides providing information on planning, financing, and incentive programs for the public and private sectors during the decarbonization process of logistics and transportation. The guides are titled "Logistics Decarbonization: Minas Gerais Energy Transition Roadmap – Guide for Municipal Public Managers" and "Logistics Decarbonization: Opportunities for the Logistics Sector." They have been published on the Sede-MG website and aim to strengthen technical and regulatory information related to green transportation. Sede-MG stated that these guides provide direction for planning more sustainable cities, aligning local policies with state-level goals, and pointing businesses toward cleaner and more efficient operational paths.
