en.Wedoany.com Reported - Liebherr Austria has added a rope-suspended leader combined with the H 10 hydraulic hammer to its pile driving product range, designed for driving independent piles in vertical or inclined applications. This solution eliminates the need for a dedicated pile driver and can be flexibly mounted on various carrier machines such as crawler cranes, expanding the operator's working range, particularly in marine or port construction where piles can be inserted over long distances or behind obstacles. The leader and hammer weigh a total of 27 tons and are suitable for piles weighing no more than 30 tons, with a maximum diameter of 1,220 mm and an inclination of up to 1:3.
The H 10 hydraulic hammer adapts to different pile driving requirements through a modular weight system, with a maximum driving weight of 10 tons. Its noise-reduction design ensures that the sound power level of four simultaneously operating Liebherr hydraulic hammers is equivalent to that of a single conventional hammer without noise reduction, while transferring impact energy to the pile with 95% efficiency. This hammer is compatible with Liebherr's LRB and LRH series pile drivers and can provide an independent control system for third-party machinery, enhancing the utilization efficiency of existing equipment on customer sites.
The rope-suspended leader with hammer combination was exhibited in June 2026 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH and is now available on the market.
