en.Wedoany.com Reported - In celebration of its centennial, the Greeley Stampede in Colorado, USA, has unveiled the newly constructed JBS Stage, equipped with three bifold doors manufactured by Schweiss Doors. These doors protect stage equipment during summer storms, ensuring performances are unaffected by weather. Previously, the Stampede used portable stages for nighttime concerts in the rodeo arena, often facing difficulties during heavy rain. The new stage has resolved this issue; during a recent Jon Pardi concert hit by a storm, only a one-hour rain delay occurred due to closing the doors, allowing the show to continue.

Justin Watada, CEO of Greeley Stampede, stated that these doors can be closed during storms, enabling the stage to be reconfigured and performances to resume. The Greeley Stampede is a summer festival in the Greeley, Colorado area, held around the Fourth of July holiday, featuring food, games, rides, parades, rodeo events, and live music.

For decades, the Stampede's live concerts used portable stages pulled into the arena by two tractors. As concert production demands for high-spec audio-visual equipment increased, the old setup became inadequate. The Stampede decided to build a permanent stage and partnered with Weld County and the City of Greeley, owner of Island Grove Regional Park, with support from the Greeley meat processing plant JBS.

The stage building was designed and manufactured by American Buildings, with Big Johnson Construction of Fort Morgan, Colorado, serving as the general contractor. The structure can accommodate up to 100,000 pounds of audio-visual equipment and includes green rooms, restrooms, an audio-visual control room, and a stage loading dock. The stage must be enclosed when not in use to protect against dust, dirt, and weather erosion. The Big Johnson Construction team recommended a bifold door solution and chose Schweiss Doors.

Trevor Fehseke, Vice President of Big Johnson Construction, noted that Schweiss Doors maintains consistent product quality. The stage is equipped with three bifold doors: two measuring approximately 18 feet wide by 30 feet high, and one measuring 78 feet wide by 30 feet high, with a total width exceeding 114 feet. Each door can be opened independently, providing flexibility for different events. Since the stage building is constructed on an 8-foot-high concrete platform, the installation team had to lift the doors to a height of about 38 feet above ground, presenting a challenge during installation.

Justin Watada pointed out that the Schweiss doors are well-manufactured and meet their intended purpose. The new stage structure has increased concert capacity, allowing the Stampede to host more musical performances and helping to boost the number of events held in the park. Trevor Fehseke revealed that many artists have praised the stage's size and functionality, and all parties are satisfied with the overall project. Schweiss Doors is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic and bifold lift strap doors, customizable for any type of new or existing building.
