en.Wedoany.com Reported - Serentica Renewables has commissioned 3 GW of renewable energy capacity, just 26 months after its first renewable energy project became operational.

This milestone marks significant progress in the company's mission to accelerate industrial decarbonization by providing reliable, scalable, and sustainable clean energy solutions. The commissioned portfolio includes solar and wind energy assets spread across multiple renewable energy-rich states in India, with over 500 MW of wind capacity in Maharashtra and Karnataka, supplying power to leading commercial and industrial customers.

According to the company's projections, this 3 GW installation can generate approximately 6 billion units of clean electricity annually, while avoiding nearly 5.6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. This progress responds to India's critical energy transition phase, where industries increasingly require reliable renewable energy solutions to fulfill sustainability commitments, enhance competitiveness, and drive long-term growth.

CEO Akshay Hiranandani noted that commissioning 3 GW within 26 months reflects the company's execution capabilities, the trust of customers and partners, and the team's efforts. He stated that each project's commissioning brings the company closer to its vision of achieving large-scale industrial decarbonization with reliable clean energy.

Looking ahead, Serentica is building an additional 3 GW of renewable energy and storage capacity, planned for commissioning within the next 12 to 15 months, to enhance its ability to provide continuous power supply to industrial users. Over the past two and a half years, the company has established a comprehensive portfolio covering solar, wind, and energy storage, catering to energy-intensive industries such as metals, mining, manufacturing, and textiles, enabling round-the-clock renewable energy supply, helping customers reduce their carbon footprint and ensure operational reliability. The company will continue to expand its renewable energy and storage assets to deliver reliable green power at scale.
