China Unicom Launches Smart Community Platform 4.0, AI Upgrades Covering 31 Provinces
en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 China International Property Management Industry Expo opened in Shanghai from July 1 to 3. At the concurrent Property Management Industry Development Forum, China Unicom launched the Smart Community Platform 4.0. The platform has completed a full-chain artificial intelligence upgrade, covering 31 provinces and 336 cities nationwide, deployed in 23,000 communities, partnering with 21,000 property management companies, serving over 100,000 residential complexes and 30 million residents, with monthly active users exceeding 1.05 million. Benchmark projects such as the Guiyang Huaguoyuan super-large community, the Beijing Chaoyang relocation community, and the county-level community governance in Luochuan, Shaanxi, have already been put into operation.

Six Years of Deep Cultivation: The China Unicom Smart Community Platform 4.0 Achieves Leapfrog Upgrade. The platform has completed a comprehensive AI iteration, achieving breakthroughs in five dimensions: AI computing, application scenarios, cloud-network synergy, data interoperability, and grassroots services, building a five-tier architecture of network, perception, data, computing power, and applications. At the base layer, it relies on dual optical networks for communities and homes to carry smart terminals across the board. At the computing layer, it is equipped with dual AI engines, Xingluo Token and Yuanjing MaaS, leveraging AI large models to empower the entire chain of government, property management, businesses, and households.

For sub-district offices and community residents' committees, the platform introduces seven AI applications: Grid Connect, Party Connect, Document Connect, Social Connect, AI Fusion Communication, Digital Intelligence Cockpit, and Smart Linkage, providing one-stop solutions to pain points such as unclear grassroots governance data, delayed handling, and untimely capture of public sentiment.

For property management companies, the platform creates nine applications covering the entire business process of property management. On the cost-reduction front, it leverages smart buildings, unmanned robot patrols, smart access control, and other security equipment to reduce labor costs. On the quality improvement front, it standardizes service standards through work order cloud quality inspection, AI monitoring intelligent recognition, and 3D digital twin security dashboards. On the efficiency enhancement front, it provides functions such as cloud intercom, AI property management workbench, and courier order delivery pass to improve business processing efficiency.

For merchants, the platform focuses on upgrading services such as the community mall and community points to activate community consumption traffic. Using the creation of a "15-minute living circle" as a lever, it empowers small and micro businesses and physical stores around the community, forming a win-win operation model for residents, merchants, and property management.

For resident households, China Unicom focuses on FTTR (Fiber to the Room) whole-home optical broadband. On the foundation of a home 10-gigabit network base, it pairs terminals such as Unicom Home Watch, Portable Smart Screen, FTTR Smart Box, Smart Health and Elderly Care, and Smart Home Control Panel to create an integrated smart living scenario encompassing whole-home intelligence, home security, and health and elderly care.

For industry partners, the platform has established a developer alliance, opening full-stack standardized interfaces to build an industrial ecosystem characterized by "capability openness, scenario symbiosis, and on-demand selection." Software and hardware applications support online self-service listing and settlement based on usage volume. Property management companies can freely select functions via drag-and-drop as needed, achieving lightweight digital and intelligent upgrades.

During the expo, China Unicom created a booth themed "AI Forges the Future, Smartly Paints Community Renewal," building an immersive real-scenario experience zone with four major themes: "Connectivity: Foundation for All," "Computing Power: AI Engine," "Services: Digital Quality Improvement," and "Security: Barrier Protection." It also released the Smart Community Platform 4.0 White Paper, providing a replicable "Unicom Solution" to the industry.

China Unicom will continue to deeply cultivate smart community construction, iteratively upgrade digital and intelligent capabilities, and collaborate with grassroots governance institutions, property management companies, and industry chain partners to focus on building livable communities characterized by efficient governance, low-carbon operations, warm services, and robust security. By empowering urban renewal with technology, it aims to help paint a new chapter of smart cities where residents live and work in peace and contentment.
