en.Wedoany.com Reported - The installation activities for the second export cable at Scotland's Inch Cape offshore wind farm have been completed, as announced by cable supplier Orient Cable (NBO) via social media.

The export cable was installed by Enshore Subsea, and NBO has now entered the next phase of work, including offshore splicing, onshore and offshore platform splicing, and termination processing. NBO stated that all interface work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Enshore Subsea previously used the cable laying vessel (CLV) CMOS Installer in October 2025 to install the first of two 85-kilometer power lines for Inch Cape.

Once fully operational, the export cable will connect the Inch Cape offshore substation to the new onshore substation in Cockenzie, East Lothian.

The 1.1 GW offshore wind farm plans to install 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines, arranged on 54 monopile foundations and 18 jacket foundations.

Inch Cape is jointly owned by ESB and Red Rock Renewables, with first power generation expected by the end of 2026 and full commercial operation in 2027.
