en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nextcloud has launched a program for independent software vendors (ISVs) to help them promote applications in the Nextcloud App Store, offer subscription models, and provide related support and documentation.

Frank Karlitschek is the CEO and founder of Nextcloud

Currently, the Nextcloud App Store offers approximately 600 applications for download. Through the ISV Partner Program, this number is expected to grow to 6,000 within a year. The program focuses on applications tailored to specific industries or use cases, such as workflow tools for municipalities, compliance applications for regulated industries, and integration solutions for specific sectors. Previously, these applications were often developed for individual clients and were not widely available.

The new program aims to change this. Nextcloud will serve as a platform connecting developers and customers, with contracts signed directly between developers and customers, and developers responsible for application support and maintenance. To facilitate developer participation, Nextcloud will improve its APIs and establish a dedicated developer relations team.

Heike Radtke is the Vice President of Marketing at Nextcloud

Frank Karlitschek, CEO and founder of Nextcloud, stated: "Nextcloud is more than just a company or a product; it is a platform that we shape together with the community and organizations in the ecosystem. Now we are opening a new chapter, aiming to offer more than just application development tools." He also emphasized: "We want developers to grow with us, not depend on us."

Nextcloud has already recruited its first four partners. Leviia from France provides scalability components for large Nextcloud deployments; VoxCloud from the Netherlands offers metadata management applications and SharePoint-style dashboards; HKN from Germany focuses on developing applications for artificial intelligence integration; and Conduction from the Netherlands develops process tracking and automation applications for municipalities.

Heike Radtke, Vice President of Marketing responsible for the Nextcloud Partner Program, said: "There is strong demand to participate in the Nextcloud ISV Partner Program, and ultimately both sides benefit. When our partners succeed, our platform and influence grow as well. Therefore, partners and ISV developers are a strategic pillar of our business model, and we plan to significantly expand this area in the future."
