en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Top-NC (Shanghai Top-NC Technology Co., Ltd.) announced that it will unveil the TOPFAB TF500 desktop-grade true five-axis AI CNC machine tool at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), demonstrating how AI technology is reshaping traditional machining processes. The company has been deeply involved in the five-axis CNC field for 19 years and received the WAIC2025 SAIL Star Award last year.
As a global platform for AI industry exchange, WAIC focuses on empowering physical manufacturing with AI technology. High-end five-axis CNC machine tools have long been used in specialized fields such as aviation and military, making precision curved surface machining capabilities inaccessible to designers, handcraft creators, and small R&D teams due to high barriers. Top-NC combines its self-developed vertical AI large model for manufacturing with five-axis linkage machining, allowing users to complete the entire process—from image and text input to 3D model generation, process reasoning, automatic tool path generation, and intelligent simulation—without professional CAM programming knowledge, realizing "creativity to finished product." The exhibition will demonstrate a full suite of intelligent functions, including AI-powered intelligent modeling, one-click optimized tool path generation, adaptive material process matching, and binocular vision automatic tool setting.
Traditional five-axis machining requires 3D modeling, manual tool path drawing, repeated cutting parameter debugging, and trial cutting corrections, which is time-consuming and demands high professional expertise from operators. The AI system integrated into the TOPFAB TF500 simplifies this process. AI can automatically generate 3D models suitable for five-axis linkage and perform process reasoning based on workpiece material, tool specifications, and precision requirements, matching roughing and finishing tool paths. The system supports materials such as metal, solid wood, jade, and engineering plastics, automatically matching dedicated cutting speeds and feed parameters. On the hardware side, the equipment features ±0.005mm XYZ repeat positioning accuracy, ±10 arc-second rotary accuracy, a 60,000 RPM high-speed spindle, and a semiconductor refrigeration constant temperature system. The 8-station automatic tool magazine supports intelligent tool change, enabling unattended multi-process machining. The binocular vision system can automatically identify blanks and perform one-click tool setting, complemented by a drawer-type automatic chip removal device and a fully enclosed, silent, dust-proof cabin, achieving low-noise operation at 50dB. Safety mechanisms such as tool clamping/unclamping and tool magazine doors, along with a multi-level alarm system, further ensure operational safety.
At the WAIC exhibition, Top-NC showcased a variety of finished products processed by the TOPFAB TF500, covering scenarios such as maker handcraft creation, small commercial startups, university R&D and teaching, and model and precision component development. The equipment supports personalized gift making, including jewelry pendants, rings, solid wood ornaments, and crystal carvings, as well as small-batch production of niche jewelry, cultural creative products, and custom knife handles. In university teaching, the device helps students quickly grasp the principles of five-axis linkage. Additionally, it is suitable for precision component R&D in areas such as drone propellers, small mechanical parts, and mold samples.

Four experience zones are set up at the exhibition: the Live Machine Real-Time Machining Demonstration Area, where the equipment runs continuously, showcasing the entire process of five-axis linkage cutting, AI automatic tool change, and curved surface carving; the AI Intelligent Creation Experience Area, where visitors can upload images or input text to witness the automatic generation of 3D models and machining tool paths; the Finished Product Display and Interaction Area, featuring carved products in all materials and precision industrial samples; and the Front Desk Interaction Area, offering check-in activities and custom carving experiences. Top-NC's R&D engineers and product experts will be on-site to provide technical consultations, offering solutions for studio entrepreneurs, university procurement managers, and mechanical industry professionals.

Top-NC stated that, leveraging 19 years of industrial CNC technology expertise, the company has integrated aviation-grade hardware with its self-developed AI large model to launch the TOPFAB TF500, bringing precision manufacturing from large factories to desktop scenarios. The participation in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference aims to showcase the achievements of AI empowering physical manufacturing and explore the possibilities of lightweight intelligent precision manufacturing.
