en.Wedoany.com Reported - NTT Facilities has developed a prefabricated construction method called Hyper Ready Module, designed to shorten the delivery cycle of hyperscale data centers to two years—one year for planning and design, and one year for construction. In contrast, traditional construction methods typically require three to four years for such projects.
In a statement, NTT Facilities said that by standardizing the process from design to construction, the company aims to reduce the time required for hyperscale customers—from design application to construction—by up to approximately 50% compared to traditional methods, targeting large-scale data centers ranging from tens to hundreds of megawatts.
The design places all cooling and electrical equipment outside the main structure to simplify the prefabrication process. The internal structure adopts a Design for Manufacturing approach, using standardized components such as piping and wiring, which are assembled on-site as modular units. The power supply system also adopts a unitized design to further shorten the construction period. NTT Facilities plans to promote this method in collaboration with data center operators starting from fiscal year 2028.
The statement added that NTT Facilities will present an ideal data center vision from multiple perspectives, including addressing high heat generation and high density, achieving carbon neutrality, and coexisting harmoniously with local communities.
