en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 3, Actis, a global sustainable infrastructure investment firm, advanced the acquisition of Poland's Klara Renewables wind portfolio from CVC DIF. Klara Renewables is a 171MW operational onshore wind asset portfolio in Poland, comprising six operational wind projects located in the regions of Wielkopolska, Kujawy-Pomorze, and Podlasie.
The wind portfolio is supported by Vestas turbines and benefits from a long-term revenue mechanism through Contracts for Difference (CfD) spanning 2038 to 2039. In addition to the operational wind assets, Klara Renewables also has a co-location development potential of approximately 275MW for solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage, with a long-term goal of increasing renewable energy capacity to 1.5GW. Upon completion of the wind portfolio acquisition, Actis will further expand its new energy asset footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.
Actis has previously advanced a project portfolio of approximately 2.3GW in Romania and Bulgaria through its Rezolv Energy platform. As the wind portfolio acquisition moves into the advancement phase, subsequent focus will center on asset closing, operational management, co-located solar and storage development assessment, and long-term revenue arrangements. For the Polish market, the potential to upgrade existing wind assets with solar and storage retrofits will become a key direction for upgrading existing renewable energy projects.
