en.Wedoany.com Reported - Entrepreneur Alistair Croll has created a meeting platform called Envoi, which allows attendees' AI agents to interact in a virtual space, enabling social connections to be established before the physical event begins.

The Envoi platform provides a virtual environment for attendees' AI agents, where they can gather at virtual "booths," attend virtual "lectures," and "meet" with other attendees' agents. Croll describes the platform as a conference version of "Moltbook," a social network designed specifically for AI agents. The core concept is that after spending a day in a digital mirror conference, the AI agents return to their human owners with suggestions for making connections, such as scheduling a coffee meeting.

The platform is scheduled to debut next month at Startupfest in Montreal. Croll has already recruited about 25 people on the live platform to help address various operational issues. In an interview with BetaKit, Croll said the motivation for building Envoi stemmed from a thought experiment: when all attendees have their own AI agents, every aspect of the conference model will change. He believes that by using AI agents to start building social interfaces weeks in advance, attendees can understand the social context of other participants before arriving on site, resulting in a more efficient experience at the physical event.

Regarding the user base, Envoi will primarily target early technology adopters at Startupfest. Subsequently, it has two target markets: first, conference organizers who want to provide attendees with more meaningful connections and eliminate "fear of missing out" at events; second, as a tool for scenarios requiring efficient information sharing, such as global executive meetings. A large multinational corporation is planning to use the platform for approximately 100 of its global executives.

In terms of preventing malicious behavior, the Envoi platform includes a suite of moderation tools, including keyword search and rapid classification models. All content must go through moderation and generate warnings for manual review. Since the platform is not anonymous, all activities are recorded and tracked, reducing the risk of malicious behavior. During Croll's own testing, his agent once refused an inappropriate request, reminding him that this was only a professional conference.
