en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lightning Minerals Ltd has completed soil geochemistry work in the West Zone of the Mt Turner Gold Project in northern Queensland, Australia, and is using the results to optimize next-round gold drilling targets. Managing Director Troy Brice noted that the project is now fully controlled by the company, with the field team collecting a total of 551 geochemical soil samples and 12 rock samples. The exploration focus is a five-kilometer-long structural corridor, identified by the company as a potential extension area of the Mt Turner gold mineralization system.

Brice stated that the West Zone project was completed "ahead of schedule, under budget, and safely and successfully," and the company is satisfied with the execution and early field observations. This work has further supplemented the company's understanding of the geological and structural model of the Mt Turner area, which is built upon the Drummer Fault soil project. Brice said the work has deepened the understanding of the broader gold system and will help define third-phase drilling targets toward the end of the exploration season.

Brice also discussed upcoming work plans, including assay results expected in mid-August and further activities at the Warby tungsten target. Lightning Minerals Ltd continues to advance its broader exploration portfolio before the wet season. This information comes from a Proactive interview with Troy Brice.
