en.Wedoany.com Reported - Mondelēz International has joined the "Regenerating Together" global project launched by SAI Platform, an international coalition of over 40 food and agriculture industry leaders aimed at accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture.

Through this move, Mondelēz International joins organizations such as Nestlé, Unilever, Diageo, ADM, Danone, McCain Foods, and Carlsberg, reaffirming its commitment to building a more sustainable and resilient supply chain to address the environmental and social challenges currently facing the global food system.
Developed jointly by farmers, agronomists, non-governmental organizations, and academia, the initiative proposes a collaborative framework focused on soil health, biodiversity, climate resilience, efficient water management, and the well-being of agricultural communities.
Luis Gutiérrez, Manager of Sustainability and Public Affairs at Mondelēz International, stated that having a resilient agricultural supply chain is increasingly important for ensuring supply security and the sustainability of the food system. This initiative will enable the company to continue strengthening its work in regenerative agriculture alongside other participants in the industry and agricultural sectors.
Mondelēz International's participation in this initiative aligns with its vision of using regenerative agriculture as a key tool to reduce emissions across the entire value chain and advance the Global Net Zero goal, which proposes scalable solutions adaptable to different production realities.
Through a joint statement, the participating companies recognize the interconnectedness of issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and water stress. Therefore, the initiative aims to establish shared indicators and targets to measure progress and drive systemic change.
The next public phase of the initiative will be announced at the SAI Platform annual event in Saskatoon, Canada, in June 2026, where new developments and action plans will be unveiled to further strengthen the transition to a more sustainable and resilient agricultural system.
