The scope of work includes constructing a Mekong River levee and revetment (9.3 km), as well as a riverside park (4.3 hectares), a riverside road (4.4 km), and a pedestrian walkway (1.01 km). The project was commissioned by the Vientiane Department of Public Works and Transport, with funding secured through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). Dongbu Construction, as the main contractor, holds a 60% stake, with a total project value of 58.2 billion won and a construction period of 55 months.
A completion ceremony was held locally on the 1st of last month, attended by officials from the Lao government and the client. A Dongbu Construction representative stated that the completion of this project demonstrates the company's technical expertise and execution capabilities in overseas civil infrastructure, and it will continue to seek projects that balance profitability and stability in overseas markets such as Southeast Asia.
