en.Wedoany.com Reported - Everllence will supply a total of eight compressor packages for a new floating production, storage, and offloading unit (FPSO) offshore Angola. The FPSO is being built by Yantai CIMC Raffles for Azule Energy (a joint venture between bp and Eni) and represents the first complete FPSO project undertaken by Yantai CIMC Raffles as an EPCIC contractor. This project highlights the increasingly important role of Chinese contractors in the global FPSO market, a trend driven by their continuously improving engineering capabilities and large-scale shipyard capacity.
The scope of supply includes four centrifugal compressor packages and four process gas screw compressor skids for natural gas processing and export operations on the FPSO.
Bolan Li, Head of Everllence China Industrial Business, stated that this first collaboration with Yantai CIMC Raffles marks a solid step forward in the company's strategic global offshore market expansion. He expressed gratitude for the customer's recognition and trust in Everllence's technical strength and FPSO project experience, and looks forward to further expanding cooperation opportunities in the future.
Holger Wörner, Head of Everllence Upstream Sales, noted that FPSO projects set extremely high standards for reliability, operational efficiency, and project execution. Leveraging Everllence's proven compressor technology and extensive offshore project experience, the company can provide tailored solutions to meet the stringent natural gas processing and export requirements in complex operating environments.
The centrifugal compressor packages will be manufactured at Everllence's plant in Zurich, Switzerland, with the scope covering three electrically driven export compressors and one high-pressure compressor. All compressor packages will be equipped with variable frequency drives to ensure operational flexibility and optimize process performance. The process gas screw compressor skids come from Everllence's plant in Oberhausen, Germany, with each skid containing two compressor units for natural gas processing operations.
Dirk Wöckener, Head of Everllence Screw Compressor Sales, added that this project fully demonstrates the broad applicability and excellent performance of screw compressor technology in offshore natural gas processing. By combining deep engineering experience, efficient project execution, and advanced manufacturing capabilities, the company can meet the specific needs of large-scale FPSO development projects.
The scope of supply also includes a Digital Convoy digital package designed to enhance operational transparency and lifecycle performance of the compressor systems. All eight compressor packages are scheduled for delivery by May 2027.
