en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) recently organized a seminar on "Artificial Intelligence: Technical Requirements for Ontology Modeling in Enabling Applications," aiming to promote the standardization of AI ontology modeling technology and the normalization of industry applications. The seminar was conducted under the framework of the Big Data Technology Standards Promotion Committee and the Ontology and Knowledge Management Working Group (in preparation) of the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance (AIIA), focusing on addressing prominent issues such as inconsistent industry ontology modeling standards, insufficient data adaptability, and non-standard application deployment, thereby providing a technical foundation for AI-driven digital and intelligent upgrades across various industries.
Dozens of organizations from fields including academia, electric power, telecommunications, finance, transportation, and AI services participated in the discussions. Key participants included China Mobile, China Unicom, Tongji University, PipeChina, Baidu, China General Nuclear Power Group, Huawei, China Southern Airlines Digital Technology, Bank of Nanjing, INESA Intelligent Tech, DataEasy, and Telecom Digital Technology. Experts at the meeting conducted article-by-article discussions on the overall architecture of the draft standard, core modeling methods, and industry application adaptation requirements, with a focus on technical guidelines for the entire ontology modeling process, practical implementation challenges, and cross-scenario generalizability. Feedback for optimization was collected from all parties to refine the standard content.

In the next steps, the working group will consolidate the opinions from this seminar, optimize and refine the draft standard article by article, and continuously incorporate practical experience from various industries to detail technical specifications and implementation guidelines. At the same time, the working group will steadily advance multiple rounds of industry discussions and opinion solicitation to continuously improve the ontology modeling standard system.
