en.Wedoany.com Reported - Infoblox announced its plan to acquire Kentik, a network intelligence and observability platform, to strengthen its AI-driven security and network service capabilities. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

As the complexity of enterprise networks, cloud environments, applications, and AI workloads continues to grow, organizations are increasingly demanding deep visibility, actionable intelligence, and operational control. Infoblox stated that the acquisition of Kentik will help customers gain a more comprehensive understanding of their infrastructure, effectively identify issues, and optimize the data foundation for AI tools, thereby accelerating the development of an infrastructure-centric network and security platform.

Scott Harrell, CEO of Infoblox, noted that the company operates at the intersection of networking, cloud, and security, providing critical network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management. Kentik, on the other hand, offers real-time network intelligence and observability covering data centers, cloud, wide area networks, and the public internet. Once combined, the platform will integrate network identity, DNS context, real-time traffic behavior, and AI-guided workflows, delivering hybrid multi-cloud observability, security intelligence, and an AI-ready data foundation for customers.

Avi Freedman, CEO of Kentik, stated that combining Kentik's network intelligence platform with Infoblox's infrastructure context helps automate operations, accelerate troubleshooting, enhance security, and support the speed of modern networks.

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. served as exclusive financial advisor to Kentik, and Fenwick & West LLP acted as its legal counsel. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP served as legal counsel to Infoblox.
