en.Wedoany.com Reported - ASUS, in collaboration with Intel, has opened a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab at the Directorate General of Education in Ibri, Al Dhahirah Governorate, Oman. This marks ASUS Education's first AI project in the region, aimed at supporting innovation and AI technology applications in education.

The lab will support the Sultanate of Oman's ongoing efforts to enhance student skills, empower educators, and promote research. AI is a key component of Oman Vision 2040, helping Oman maintain a leading position in AI readiness and build a knowledge-based economy.

The AI lab features a range of ASUS AI-ready devices, including rugged Chromebooks for classrooms and labs, AI PCs and All-in-Ones (AiO), as well as high-performance devices customized for advanced research. These devices also prioritize sustainability by reducing carbon footprint, featuring long-lasting batteries and robust connectivity, making them ideal for hybrid learning environments.

The devices are powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processors, featuring built-in AI acceleration capabilities through the collaborative work of three engines—CPU, GPU, and NPU—to support AI applications. The combination of ASUS hardware design, Intel's AI optimization technologies, and the local expertise of Bahwan Projects and Telecoms delivers AI-driven experiences. Some of the products offered include the ExpertBook P3405, P5405, B1403, and B3405 business laptops, along with their All-in-One series.

Dr. Faisal Al Busaidi, Director General of the Information Technology Authority in Oman, stated that the efforts of ASUS, Intel, and Bahwan in implementing the AI lab in Al Dhahirah Governorate align with the Ministry of Education's direction to leverage AI technology in supporting educational processes and developing student skills.
