The signing ceremony was jointly attended by Carlos Berzunza Sánchez, Executive Chairman of CANIPEC, and Raúl Rodríguez Márquez, Chairman of the CCA Board of Directors. Carlos Berzunza stated that the agreement enables the association to collaborate deeply with top-tier technical partners to jointly promote a culture of responsible water use and take concrete actions to enhance national water security. He emphasized that only through the collective efforts of industry, government, and all sectors of society can solutions be found for one of Mexico's greatest challenges.

Raúl Rodríguez stressed that Mexico requires collective action from all parties to achieve better water management across various sectors. The government, productive sectors, academia, and society as a whole should jointly develop an agenda to address challenges and propose constructive recommendations to ensure national water security.

For CANIPEC member companies, the agreement offers multiple specific opportunities: access to professional technical knowledge on sustainable water management and adoption of best practices in processes and value chains; participation in nationwide awareness and outreach campaigns to enhance the industry's environmental commitment and reputation among consumers and government; involvement in training and professional development programs related to water sustainability; establishment of connections and dialogue with institutions influential in water public policy; and joint promotion of research and innovation projects oriented toward responsible and efficient water use.

The Water Advisory Council is a civic, pluralistic, and independent body composed of experts and representatives from academic, social, and economic sectors, renowned for its influence in promoting the implementation of water public policies. CANIPEC represents Mexico's personal care and home products industry, serving as a bridge connecting industry, government, and consumers, aiming to meet current and future societal needs while ensuring the sector operates within a strict regulatory framework, providing safety, accessibility, and trustworthiness.
