Specific adjustments include: the Hanoi-Taipei route will increase from 7 to 11 weekly flights; the Hanoi-Osaka route will increase from 7 to 11 weekly flights from October 26 to November 30, 2026, and further to 14 weekly flights from December 1, 2026. The Da Nang-Seoul route will increase to 14 weekly flights from July 1, while the Da Nang-Tokyo and Da Nang-Osaka routes will increase to 11 and 5 weekly flights, respectively.

Vietnam Airlines has simultaneously launched a special round-trip ticket promotion. Round-trip tickets from Hanoi to Taipei are priced as low as 7,724,000 VND, and from Hanoi to Osaka as low as 14,660,000 VND (taxes included). The promotional tickets are applicable for tickets issued before July 31, 2026. For the Hanoi-Taipei route, travel must be completed by July 31, 2026, and for the Hanoi-Osaka route, travel must be completed no later than December 31, 2026. Lotusmiles members can earn additional bonus miles depending on the fare class.

This increase in flights comes at a time when connectivity demand between Vietnam and Northeast Asia remains high. According to data from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam's Ministry of Finance, South Korea was Vietnam's second-largest international tourist source market in the first half of 2026, with over 2.16 million visitors. Japan and Taiwan also maintained their positions as important source markets, with stable growth in two-way passenger traffic.

In response to market changes, Vietnam Airlines will continue to expand its international route network by combining the strategy of "maintaining traditional markets and exploring new destinations." In 2026, Vietnam Airlines has launched new routes to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Phuket (Thailand), and Colombo (Sri Lanka). The airline is prioritizing the expansion of a highly connected route network to continuously meet the increasingly diverse travel needs of passengers, further promoting economic and trade exchanges and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and the international market.
