en.Wedoany.com Reported - FARO CREAFORM Canada has officially announced the addition of the HandySCAN EVO, HandySCAN EVO Plus, HandySCAN MAX EVO, and HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite to its HandySCAN 3D product line. This launch will optimize the entire daily inspection process and provide metrology-grade inspection solutions for large components. FARO CREAFORM, a business unit of AMETEK, Inc., is headquartered in Lévis, Quebec, Canada, and is a global supplier of 3D scanners and portable coordinate measuring machines.
The new-generation HandySCAN 3D MAX series includes the HandySCAN MAX EVO and HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite, designed specifically for measuring large, complex components. This series extends the EVO platform's operational experience to large-component inspection scenarios while retaining the accuracy, stability, and high performance required for quality control, quality assurance, reverse engineering, and non-destructive testing.
When paired with a wireless kit, the HandySCAN 3D MAX series enables wireless measurement without the need for a fixed workstation, allowing inspection tasks to be completed directly on-site. The new-generation models feature a built-in display, guided workflows, and full freedom of movement, enabling integrated and simplified operation from scanning to report generation. Measurement results are verified by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, with performance meeting VDI/VDE 2634 standards. The HandySCAN MAX EVO offers a volume accuracy of 0.150 mm + 0.020 mm/m, primarily suited for product development applications, while the HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite achieves a volume accuracy of 0.075 mm + 0.010 mm/m, meeting the needs of high-precision dimensional inspection and NDT tasks.
The concurrently launched HandySCAN EVO and HandySCAN EVO Plus models feature a visual display interface and a simplified, guided workflow, reflecting FARO CREAFORM's R&D focus on inspection efficiency, ease of use, and operational experience. The HandySCAN 3D EVO series previously won the "Red Dot Design Award," and its human-centric ergonomic design has been fully integrated across both the EVO and MAX series. The flagship models (EVO Elite, MAX EVO Elite) support additional features, such as QR code recognition for quickly recalling inspection programs.
Jérôme-Alexandre Lavoie, Product Management Director for 3D Scanners at FARO CREAFORM, stated: "The iterative upgrades to the HandySCAN 3D series embody our vision—to make metrology-grade 3D scanning more intuitive, more mobile, and more efficient. With the new MAX series, manufacturers needing to inspect large, complex components can benefit from the iconic, smooth platform experience of the EVO series while ensuring the accuracy required for critical inspection judgments."
All new models are fully integrated with the proprietary software platform Creaform Metrology Suite, providing a unified software operating environment. With an integrated platform covering the entire HandySCAN 3D product line, FARO CREAFORM further solidifies its technological position in the field of portable metrology-grade 3D scanning.
