en.Wedoany.com Reported - SkyDrive recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan Biz Aviation Co., Ltd. (JBZ), a major charter operator in Japan that currently provides aircraft charter services including HondaJet and Bell helicopters.

SkyDrive has secured a total of 427 aircraft orders from partners in Japan and overseas, including pre-orders for 354 aircraft and basic purchase agreements for 73 aircraft. Outside Japan, most of these orders come from helicopter or charter operators that already hold an Air Operator Certificate (AOC). The situation differs in the Japanese market, where SkyDrive has received a large number of orders from parties such as railway companies that do not currently hold an AOC. To expand its operational scope and develop Japan's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) market, SkyDrive plans to sign agreements with companies possessing extensive operational and maintenance experience to support the commercial operation of its aircraft, ensuring a safe, smooth, and reliable service launch. The first memorandum of understanding signed with JBZ aims to advance specific discussions on how to organize and implement these arrangements.
Under this memorandum of understanding, both parties agree to discuss and develop aircraft ownership and operational plans, clarify the respective roles of SkyDrive, JBZ, and aircraft purchasers, and formulate a roadmap proposing a specific timeline for entering service and other future plans.
SkyDrive will collaborate with JBZ and other future operational partners to ensure that parties purchasing SkyDrive aircraft can do so with complete confidence. This will enable strategic partners across various industries to own SkyDrive aircraft and generate revenue from them, thereby accelerating the adoption of eVTOL technology in Japan.
