en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK mining equipment company Weir has secured a contract to supply a crushing circuit for Brightstar Resources' Laverton processing plant, located in the Goldfields gold project area of Western Australia. The contract, signed in the first quarter of 2026, includes Weir's recently upgraded ENDURON® ET series jaw crushers and ENDURON® EC series cone crushers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In addition to the crushing equipment, Weir will also supply WARMAN® pumps and CAVEX® hydrocyclones for the project. Weir collaborated with GR Engineering Services on the circuit design and will support the installation and commissioning of the 1.5 million tonnes per annum gold processing facility.
Brightstar aims to achieve first gold production at the Laverton processing plant by mid-2027. Jyotirmoy Roy, Vice President of Equipment Solutions for Weir Asia Pacific, stated that the upgraded ENDURON jaw and cone crushers are the result of years of research and development. Roy noted that Weir is focused on bringing new technologies and solutions to market to help miners overcome their most pressing challenges; miners today are more inclined to view operations from a holistic perspective rather than looking at equipment in isolation. Weir has a vast service network to ensure proximity and support for customers from commissioning and startup through to full operation.
