These devices will be used to upgrade the airline's IT infrastructure, specifically for creating virtualization clusters, data backup systems, and supporting commercial systems as well as critical Aeroflot operations. One of the project's objectives is to enhance computing capacity without expanding the data center floor space.

According to Yadro's estimates, the Russian server and data storage system market (including VAT) will reach 280 billion rubles in 2025, with 200 billion rubles coming from the second half of the year. Electronics manufacturer Fplus previously estimated that procurement in this market amounted to 155 billion rubles in 2024. Fplus believes that market growth is primarily driven by price increases.

Experts note that between 2024 and 2025, demand for expensive high-performance servers has increased, while Russian manufacturers have become more active in the complex systems segment during the same period. IT analysts suggest that this large-scale procurement of 200 servers reflects significant scale demand associated with increased computing density.

Market participants estimate the transaction value to be between 1.5 billion and 2 billion rubles. According to reports, the price of the Yadro V240 G3 server is only disclosed upon order placement. Experts estimate that the basic configuration of a single server costs approximately 3 million rubles, while a fully configured version starts at 10 million rubles. Considering the equipment and related services, the total value of this supply contract could reach 20 billion rubles.
