The "Yuanhai Songtao" is the fifth vessel in a series of 63,800 DWT bulk carriers built by Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding for Xiamen Financial Leasing. It has an overall length of 199.85 meters and is equipped with four all-rotary cranes, primarily used for the transportation of ore, grain, coal, and bulk dangerous goods as specified in the IMSBC Code. The ship's design has been optimized in terms of hull lines, structure, and propeller, meeting the most stringent current Tier III emission standards and EEDI Phase III requirements. It features strong endurance and excellent energy efficiency, balancing environmental friendliness and economic viability, making it suitable for operational needs on major global shipping routes.

During the construction process, the CCS Jiangsu Plan Approval Center and the Nantong Office collaborated closely, providing comprehensive technical support and service assurance to the shipowner and shipyard throughout the entire process, including preliminary technical briefings, plan approval review, model evaluation, key product inspection and coordination, construction inspection, and training. This received high recognition from all parties involved.

The successful delivery of the "Yuanhai Songtao" reflects the coordinated efforts across the entire shipbuilding industry chain. CCS stated that it will further integrate into the construction of the high-end shipbuilding and marine engineering industry hub in the Yangtze River Delta, accelerate technological innovation in green and intelligent ship type inspection, and help China's shipbuilding and shipping industries move towards the mid-to-high end of the global value chain amidst low-carbon transformation and self-reliance.
