en.Wedoany.com Reported - Following the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement in March, a delegation led by Zhu Rirong, President of Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (NISCO), along with Assistant President Sun Maojie and Assistant President Wang Runze, visited the Northwest Headquarters Base of Hollysys Group on July 9, 2026. The two sides exchanged views on topics including the localization of steel industry equipment, the construction of a new generation of smart factories, industrial AI, and industrial cybersecurity. Hollysys Group Co-President Fang Lei, Vice President of Process Industry Han Tingwei, and Chief Engineer of the Central Research Institute Zhu Yiming participated in the reception.

Accompanied by Fang Lei and others, Zhu Rirong's delegation toured the Hollysys Smart Experience Center, the demonstration production line of the first batch of national "Excellent-Level Smart Factories," the Smart Factory Laboratory, and the Training Center. Live demonstrations and technical explanations showcased Hollysys's over three decades of technological accumulation in this field, as well as innovations in localization and industrial AI. During the tour, the accompanying team exchanged views on technical details and recognized Hollysys's full-stack localization capabilities in smart manufacturing.

During the discussion session, Fang Lei stated that the localization of core equipment is not only a response to the national policy direction of achieving self-controllable industrial chains but also a practical need for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector. The implementation process requires the support of leading enterprises like NISCO. Under NISCO's strategic direction of "high-end, digital-intelligent, and green" development, Hollysys will provide support for its smart steel construction by leveraging capabilities such as overall solutions for new-generation smart factories, full-process localization substitution, and industrial cybersecurity.

Zhu Rirong pointed out that since the signing of the strategic agreement, the two sides have jointly developed multiple industry projects in the areas of control system localization and industrial cybersecurity system construction. As the industry enters the artificial intelligence transformation phase, NISCO's plans for digital-intelligent upgrades across the entire plant, green and low-carbon production, and high-end steel manufacturing require Hollysys's vertically integrated technical system, spanning from underlying control to upper-level intelligent applications, as support. He expressed anticipation for expanding the depth and breadth of cooperation between the two sides to jointly create benchmark projects in smart steel manufacturing.

Zhu Yiming introduced the recently released XMagital2.0 intelligent system by Hollysys during the meeting. Based on XMagital1.0, this system addresses the challenges of industrial AI implementation. Leveraging the XWorld industrial world model, it integrates four major models—time series, mechanism, ontology, and decision-making—with an industrial knowledge base. Through an industrial cognitive engine and an intelligent orchestration engine, it forms a full-process intelligent closed loop from perception to execution optimization. The system has already been applied in industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals, electric power, new energy, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals. For the steel industry, XMagital2.0 can connect business chains including control, production scheduling, quality, energy and environment, and management, providing technical support for the intelligent upgrade of entire plants.

Based on the existing cooperation foundation, both sides clarified their intention to upgrade collaboration from individual projects to production line-level and factory-level system integration. In the future, they will deepen synergy in areas such as overall smart factory construction, localization of core equipment, and application of AI in metallurgy. Through joint innovation and dedicated working mechanisms, they aim to accumulate standardized and replicable digital-intelligent construction experience.

NISCO, a key state-backed steel enterprise, is known as the "Cradle of Jiangsu's Steel Industry." Hollysys, with over three decades of experience in metallurgical automation, possesses full-stack smart factory solution capabilities. Since signing the strategic cooperation agreement in March, the cooperation path between the two sides has gradually become clearer. This visit further solidified strategic mutual trust. Hollysys plans to leverage innovative technologies such as XMagital2.0 as a link to continue promoting industrial synergy with NISCO in smart factory construction and the localization of key equipment.
