en.Wedoany.com Reported - The potential opportunities for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Brazil will be a key focus of the FenaBio conference. Scheduled for August 12-13 during the 32nd edition of Fenasucro & Agrocana, the event aims to bring together business leaders and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities for Brazil to produce SAF via the ethanol route. Airbus Brazil President Gilberto Peralta and Honeywell Latin America President José Magalhães Fernandes will participate in panel discussions, reflecting the aviation industry's growing interest in sustainable fuel opportunities and Brazil's production potential.

Driven by this agenda, related projects are advancing across Brazil. JetBio, a company under Summit Agricultural Group, announced the reservation of land in Paulínia, São Paulo state, to build a large-scale biorefinery dedicated to producing SAF via the alcohol-to-jet route. The project is expected to involve an investment of approximately $2 billion, with a planned annual production capacity close to 1 billion liters.

The discussions at the FenaBio conference take place against a backdrop of growing global investment and interest in SAF production routes. Topics will cover challenges in expanding fuel supply, technological advancements, and opportunities for Brazil to strengthen its participation in the sector. Paulo Montabone, Director of Fenasucro & Agrocana, believes the discussion comes at a strategic time for Brazil's bioenergy industry. He stated that SAF represents an opportunity to expand bioenergy's contribution to the global energy transition, and that FenaBio was created to foster connections between knowledge, technology, investment, and business.

The 32nd edition of Fenasucro & Agrocana is considered the world's largest trade fair for the bioenergy industry chain. It is expected to attract visitors from over 80 countries in 2026, with more than 600 exhibiting brands, including major domestic and international manufacturers of equipment, solutions, and technologies focused on biofuel and clean energy production. Organized by RX and exclusively supported by CEISE Br, the event has become the primary connection platform between suppliers and buyers in the bioenergy sector. The 13th ATALAC Latin American Congress will also be held concurrently, an international conference organized by STAB (Brazilian Society of Sugarcane and Alcohol Technicians), bringing together professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean.
