en.Wedoany.com Reported - Georgina Energy has completed major pre-drilling site work for the Hussar prospect on the EP513 exploration license onshore Western Australia, clearing the way for the Ensign 970 rig to spud in September 2026. The drilling program will focus on assessing the helium, hydrogen, and natural gas resource potential within the Officer Basin.

The ADR 1500S pad rig in the Montney region is Ensign's next-generation automated full-size walking rig. Each rig will generate 50,000 man-hours during the construction phase and directly and indirectly employ over 100 workers upon completion.

The drilling pad, site pad, accommodation pad, and camp site have been cleared and leveled, with preliminary assessments indicating suitable gravel and clay ratios for compaction. The airstrip has been repaired and widened, new wind indicators installed, and the water well location on the drilling pad selected. Seismic line access from the well site to the Gunbarrel Highway has been cleared and graded, and the highway itself has been graded and repaired to accommodate multiple semi-trailer loads.

Georgina Energy holds a 100% working interest in the EP513 license through its subsidiary Westmarket Oil & Gas. The company plans to drill the Hussar well to a depth of approximately 3,200 meters, targeting the Townsend Formation and fractured Neoproterozoic basement lithologies to access helium, hydrogen, and natural gas. Independent consultants have assessed the prospect with significant 2U contingent resources, including approximately 155 billion cubic feet of helium and 173 billion cubic feet of hydrogen.
