The pickleball facility was inaugurated by court owner Mayda Maliwat. She stated that the facility aims to promote health, healthy living, and community unity through sports.

Mayda Maliwat mentioned that although she is not a doctor herself, her husband works in the medical field, and together they advocate for public health. She noted that advocacy extends from health to sports, as being physically strong leads to better health. Pickleball is not just a sport but also a way to foster unity, friendship, and camaraderie among people. Her mission also includes serving the community by providing medicine to those in need, as part of her commitment to helping others.

Maliwat Pickle Yard is open to the public with no membership required to play. Players only need to pay the corresponding court fees to use the courts. The pickleball center is open from morning to night seven days a week, allowing the public convenient access to enjoy the sport.

Attendees at the opening ceremony included Sta. Cruz Mayor Benjo Agarao, Laguna Provincial Board Member and President of the Philippine Councilors League Laguna Chapter Arvin Manguiat, as well as several entertainment personalities, including Diana Zubiri, Vin Abrenica, and Eric Fructuoso.

In her speech, Mayda Maliwat invited residents of Laguna and surrounding areas to come and participate in sports and experience the facility. She stated that there is no need to travel far to enjoy six premium pickleball courts, and the facility is open to everyone, whether beginners or experienced players.
