Dubai-based low-cost carrier Flydubai will resume daily direct flights from Dubai to Aleppo on July 20, restoring operations after a nearly 14-year hiatus. Aleppo becomes Flydubai's second destination in Syria after Damascus, which currently operates three daily flights and has increased frequencies since resuming operations in 2025. Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Flynas will launch twice-weekly flights from Riyadh to Aleppo on August 1, complementing its existing network of 24 weekly flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to Damascus. SunExpress plans to launch the only direct route from Antalya to Aleppo on August 1, operating twice weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Wizz Air has announced new routes from Moldova and Lithuania for the 2026-27 winter season. From Chișinău, the airline will operate four weekly flights to Alicante and London Gatwick starting October 25, and two weekly flights to Frankfurt-Hahn from October 26. Wizz Air will also increase frequencies on routes to Barcelona, Bologna, Bucharest, Dortmund, Memmingen, and Nuremberg. From Vilnius, Wizz Air will launch a new three-times-weekly route to Berlin on October 27, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Qantas will increase capacity to Japan and New Zealand for the 2026-27 Southern Hemisphere summer, adding over 45,000 seats. The airline will increase its Melbourne-Tokyo Narita route from daily to 11 weekly flights between December 2026 and March 2027, adding approximately 30,000 seats. Qantas stated that passenger numbers to Japan grew 8% year-on-year to 350,000 between October 2025 and March 2026, while over 500,000 Australian tourists visited Japan in the first five months of 2026. China Eastern Airlines has launched direct flights from Beijing Daxing to Bali, marking the first direct route between the Chinese capital and the Indonesian island. Malaysia Airlines has launched new direct routes from Kuala Lumpur to Shenzhen and Changsha, expanding its operations in China. China is the airline's second-largest international market by number of destinations. Both routes use Boeing 737-8 aircraft, operating up to daily. With the additions, Malaysia Airlines now serves nine destinations in Greater China, including Beijing Daxing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai Pudong, Taipei, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Changsha.
