en.Wedoany.com Reported - Changan Automobile's self-developed driver assistance system, "Tianshu Pilot," is scheduled to enter mass production and be installed in vehicles in the third quarter of 2026. The Changan Qiyuan Q06 will be the first production model to be fully equipped with this system, with the new car planned for official launch in the second half of 2026.

"Tianshu Pilot" is an assisted driving system built on end-to-end technology and multimodal large models. This system represents a landmark achievement in the implementation of Changan Automobile's "1445" global strategy in the field of intelligence. Changan Automobile explicitly emphasized at the press conference: "Assisted driving is not autonomous driving; drivers are still required to bear the core responsibility of real-time monitoring and taking over at any time."

The system is divided into three versions: Pro, Max, and Ultra. The Pro version comes standard with LiDAR, capable of identifying obstacles 2 seconds earlier than the human eye in low-light scenarios such as nighttime or tunnels. Combined with the SDA central ring network architecture, the system response can be further accelerated by 150 milliseconds. The Max version, relying on over 20 million high-quality human driving data slices for training, offers the ability to navigate complex and high-frequency commuting scenarios. The Ultra version is equipped with a VLM (Vision-Language Model) large model, enabling interactive assisted driving functions. In the future, the system will also introduce an active driver incapacitation protection feature, ensuring the safety of occupants in special scenarios.

Changan Automobile's layout in the field of intelligence can be traced back to 2009. It has built an intelligent R&D team for 17 years and established the only national key laboratory in China dedicated to intelligent vehicle safety technology—the Tianshu Intelligent Experiment Center. This center supports global collaboration and 7×24-hour uninterrupted testing, with over 400,000 virtual simulation scenarios. Over the past five years, more than 2,000 Changan engineers have completed over 5 million kilometers of real-world road testing in Chongqing, covering 185 types of scenarios. These real-world test data have been written into the system's underlying logic.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06, equipped with this system, is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV. It is developed based on the SDA Tianshu architecture platform, with body dimensions of 4837 mm in length, 1970 mm in width, and a wheelbase of 2940 mm. The vehicle adopts a pure electric drive solution, leveraging an 800-volt silicon carbide high-voltage platform and 6C ultra-fast charging technology. The mass production and installation of "Tianshu Pilot" marks a critical turning point for Changan Automobile's intelligent strategy, transitioning from R&D accumulation to large-scale application.
