en.Wedoany.com Reported - Worley has been appointed by Anglo Asian Mining to provide feasibility studies for the Xarxar and Garadag copper deposits in Azerbaijan.

The study will evaluate development options for copper heap leach processing and solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW) technology. This process can produce marketable copper metal directly at the mine site, potentially reducing export and downstream smelting requirements.

The study for the Xarxar project is expected to be completed by mid-2027, followed by the Garadag study in the first half of 2028.

Anglo Asian Mining is advancing a large-scale drilling program for 2026–2027, totaling approximately 90,000 meters across its asset portfolio, aimed at supporting resource expansion and feasibility studies for Xarxar and Garadag.

Worley will provide expertise in mineral processing, project delivery, and asset development to advance the projects through key study phases.
