en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Keshun Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd. has undertaken the roof waterproofing project of the Shenzhen Financial Culture Center under a dual-package model, fully adopting a double-layer thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) waterproofing membrane. This project is a key initiative in Shenzhen's "14th Five-Year Plan" for the financial industry and a core landmark of the Xiangmihu New Financial Center. It is now in its final stage and is about to be officially completed.

The Shenzhen Financial Culture Center is invested by the Shenzhen Futian District Government and led by the Shenzhen Bureau of Public Works, with a total investment of approximately RMB 1.5 billion and a total construction area of about 64,000 square meters. Built to the standards of the Luban Award, it will serve multiple functions including financial exhibitions, high-end transactions, and international exchanges. After multiple rounds of plan comparison and comprehensive strength evaluation, Keshun Waterproof successfully won the bid and undertook the roof waterproofing project under a dual-package model.

The project features a unique "Golden Stone Stacked Mountain" design, with intersecting roof edges and rich curved surfaces, resulting in an extremely complex structural form. This imposes extremely high requirements on the flexibility, adhesion, and construction precision of waterproofing materials. Located in a coastal area, Shenzhen experiences high temperatures and humidity year-round, with strong ultraviolet radiation and frequent typhoons and rainstorms. Traditional waterproofing materials have poor plasticity and are difficult to adapt to irregular roof structures, making them prone to issues such as hollowing, cracking, water seepage, and aging. To further enhance the safety level and properly address weak points such as joints and accidental damage, Keshun recommended a double-layer TPO waterproofing solution. The two layers of membrane are laid with staggered seams, creating two independent waterproof barriers to comprehensively ensure the stability and durability of the roof waterproofing system.

The double-layer structure further enhances the roof's puncture resistance, tear resistance, and aging resistance, enabling long-term protection against coastal strong UV radiation, typhoons, and rainstorms. TPO membranes offer excellent flexibility and plasticity, allowing them to closely adhere to complex structures such as building edges and curved surfaces, perfectly matching the project's unique design. The construction employs a hot-air welding process to achieve seamless joints, effectively handling various nodes and eliminating issues of hollowing and water seepage.

This contribution to the construction of the Shenzhen Financial Culture Center is another practice of Keshun in serving landmark urban projects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As a long-term partner of the Shenzhen Bureau of Public Works, Keshun has previously served key public construction projects such as Shenzhen University of Technology, the Affiliated Hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology (Main Campus), and the Huanggang Port Joint Inspection Building, and has participated in super projects in the Bay Area including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.
