en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 14, 2026, fleet electrification specialist Zenobē has put its first electric tractor into operation in Australia, with a Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 now running from Winnings Appliances' yard in Kemps Creek, western Sydney.

The vehicle is equipped with a 336kWh battery pack, financed by Zenobē and leased to Winnings, with Zenobē also providing on-site charging infrastructure. This deployment is part of a broader collaboration between the two companies, aiming to deploy a total of 30 electric trucks in Australia, helping Winnings reduce emissions from its home appliance delivery fleet.

Winnings Managing Director Harry Boileau stated that for the 116-year-old family business, this transition is a major undertaking. The partnership with Zenobē has been crucial in taking this step with confidence. Their end-to-end support in vehicles, infrastructure, and ongoing operations makes the shift to electric freight smoother. Winnings is committed to being an industry leader, and this deployment is a significant step in its journey toward a low-emission delivery fleet, marking just the beginning of its larger commercial plans.

The broader project includes deploying 10 Foton T5 4.5-ton electric trucks at Kemps Creek, utilizing existing charging facilities, and 20 8.5-ton electric trucks in Altona, Victoria, equipped with new charging infrastructure.

Zenobē Australia National Director Gareth Ridge noted that the launch of the first truck is a major step for both companies and the broader electric freight transition, demonstrating that fleet operators can begin transitioning heavy commercial vehicles to zero emissions today. By integrating vehicles, charging infrastructure, and ongoing operational support into a single service, we are helping partners like Winnings make the transition confidently while reducing costs and risks.

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific President and CEO Daniel Whitehead stated that the eActros 300 supports Winnings' local operations with zero tailpipe emissions and quieter operation. This model is an advanced electric tractor with high efficiency and is equipped with a class-leading active safety suite.

Zenobē has also recently launched a new A$100 million truck electrification program expression of interest, targeting medium and large heavy vehicle operators in Australia and New Zealand.
