The Jakarta Velodrome-Manggarai light rail is scheduled to begin operations in August; the passenger service for Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link is set to launch in January 2027; a new station on Singapore's Circle Line has been completed; and Ho Chi Minh City's Metro Line 2 plans to start main structure construction for all stations in August.
Phase 1B of the Jakarta Light Rail (Velodrome-Manggarai section) spans approximately 6.4 kilometers and includes five new stations. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the line is planned to be officially inaugurated by the President in August. Stage 6 of Singapore's MRT Circle Line officially opened on July 12, adding three new stations: Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward Road. With this, the Circle Line is now fully looped, covering a total length of about 39 kilometers. As of the end of March 2026, the overall progress of Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) has reached 93%, with completion expected in December 2026 and commercial operations commencing in January 2027.
