en.Wedoany.com Reported - The EPC tender announcement for the Ruoqiang Nengchuang 200MW/800MWh grid-forming energy storage project was released on July 15.
The tenderer is Ruoqiang County Nengchuang New Energy Co., Ltd., with a project funding source of self-raised funds totaling 700 million RMB.
Located in Ruoqiang County, Xinjiang, the project will construct a new 200MW/800MWh grid-forming independent energy storage station, utilizing lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage technology. Supporting works include the construction of a 220kV step-up substation, collector lines, on-site roads, living quarters, and other ancillary facilities. The 220kV outgoing transmission line is not within the scope of this tender.
The project plans to adopt a grid-forming energy storage solution. The lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage system is tentatively designed to use 314Ah cells, with a 1P416S battery cluster configuration, each cluster having a capacity of 418.00kWh. Every 12 battery clusters form one 20-foot energy storage battery container, with a single container capacity of 5015.96kWh. Each set of 4 battery containers is paired with one 5MW converter-booster integrated unit, which includes a 5250kVA dry-type transformer, four 1250kW bidirectional converters, and associated auxiliary facilities. The project will be equipped with a total of 40 sets of 5MW converter-booster integrated units and 160 sets of 5MWh lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage battery containers. The energy storage system uses the 35kV/0.69kV step-up transformer as the basic access unit. After being collected via 8 circuits of 35kV collector lines, it connects to the 35kV busbar of the 220kV step-up substation. After voltage step-up through the main transformer, it connects to the Ruoqiang 750kV substation via one 220kV line, achieving the integration and grid connection of the energy storage system.
