These systems are used for quality assurance of painted plastic components in vehicles equipped with autonomous driving radar sensors, ensuring that the coating system does not excessively attenuate radar signals and does not impair radar functionality.

Founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, perisens will enable ALTANA's BYK division to strategically expand its measurement and testing instrument portfolio by introducing innovative technologies in the radar measurement field. perisens will be integrated into BYK-Gardner, located in Geretsried, Bavaria.
