en.Wedoany.com Reported - The White House has officially launched the Gold Eagle Program through Executive Order No. 14409, an interagency coordination center focused on identifying and mitigating cybersecurity vulnerabilities in the United States. Signed by President Donald Trump on June 2, 2026, the executive order aims to integrate federal agencies and private enterprises to accelerate the detection and remediation of cyber vulnerabilities in critical national sectors.

The Gold Eagle Program brings together the White House, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS, through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency CISA), and the Department of War (DOW), collaborating with open-source software companies and critical infrastructure providers. By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence resources, the program establishes a new operational model for cyber defense, capable of identifying vulnerabilities, reducing redundant scanning efforts, prioritizing risks, and delivering actionable information to protectors of public and private systems.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the program strengthens cooperation between the government and the private sector in protecting financial institutions and predicting cyber threats, with the use of AI enabling the government to maintain a technological edge against evolving digital attacks. In the defense sector, Secretary Pete Hegseth described Gold Eagle as "the frontier of U.S. cyber defense," emphasizing that the program combines AI technology with the involvement of American innovative enterprises to protect critical infrastructure and expand incident response capabilities.
According to the White House, the center has already begun receiving information on identified vulnerabilities from various economic sectors, coordinating technical analysis and prioritizing mitigation actions. The goal is to establish a unified process between the government and industry to accelerate remediation before vulnerabilities are maliciously exploited. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated that the program expands existing software and cyber protection mechanisms while strengthening the U.S. strategy for applying AI in national security.
National Cyber Director Sean Cairncross believes that Gold Eagle is also part of the Trump administration's strategy to solidify U.S. leadership in AI and cybersecurity. The collaboration between the government and private enterprises aims to protect strategic technological assets and ensure greater resilience in the systems that underpin the national economy and essential services. The program integrates actions outlined in the executive order "Promoting Innovation and Security in Advanced Artificial Intelligence" (Promovendo Inovação e Segurança em Inteligência Artificial Avançada), which establishes guidelines for expanding the use of AI in strategic government sectors, combining technological innovation with the strengthening of national cybersecurity.
