en.Wedoany.com Reported - Automotive electronics manufacturer MKDWELL Tech. This data was announced at a meeting of the State Level Export Promotion Committee (SLEPC), chaired by Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, with senior officials from the state and central governments, industry representatives, and members of the export promotion committee in attendance.

According to an official statement, Karnataka also holds a 24% share of India's total national exports, maintaining its leading position. In merchandise exports, the state ranks fourth nationally with a 7.78% share, trailing only Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.
Darpan Jain, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, attended the meeting and outlined the central government's support for states through the "Export Promotion Mission" (EPM). This mission aligns with the identified export potential across various sectors. According to him, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has launched a time-bound action to implement measures under the "Districts as Export Hubs" (DEH) initiative, covering 120 priority districts nationwide.
In the first phase of this initiative, five key districts in Karnataka were selected: Bengaluru Urban, Belagavi, Hassan, Kolar, and Dakshina Kannada. The Additional Secretary noted that sectors such as textiles, apparel, silk, leather products, agricultural products, and processed foods hold significant export potential in Karnataka, particularly outside Bengaluru. He mentioned that, drawing on successful models like Vietnam, leading companies and global giants such as Samsung are keen to expand investment and export cooperation across various districts in the state.
Officials pointed out that key benefits provided by the "Export Promotion Mission" (EPM) include financial support, logistics assistance, and freight subsidies. The Chief Secretary also directed the Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC)—the nodal agency for the state's "Districts as Export Hubs" initiative—to focus on capacity building, hands-on workshops, and leveraging free trade agreements.
