en.Wedoany.com Reported - Corpus Christi Liquefaction, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy, has submitted commissioning-related documents for the seventh mid-scale train to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, preparing for the introduction of feed gas to the hot side of the train. In the filing, the company stated that the compliance declaration and related documents are intended to support its upcoming request to introduce feed gas to the hot side of Train 7. Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Liquefaction has also requested regulatory approval to introduce fuel gas and hot oil to the train as early as July 17.

In its May construction report, Corpus Christi Liquefaction noted that the Stage 3 expansion project is 98% complete, ahead of schedule. Cheniere Energy announced the substantial completion of the sixth train on June 12. Based on the commissioning progress of the sixth train, the company may achieve substantial completion of the seventh train in August or September of this year. The liquefaction capacity of the first three trains at the Corpus Christi liquefaction terminal is approximately 15 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). The Stage 3 expansion project, valued at approximately $8 billion, plans to build seven mid-scale trains, each with an expected liquefaction capacity of about 1.49 mtpa. Cheniere Energy is seeking authorization from the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to increase the capacity of these trains and two additional mid-scale trains. Upon completion of these expansions, combined with anticipated debottlenecking efforts, the total liquefaction capacity of the Corpus Christi liquefaction terminal is expected to exceed 30 mtpa by the end of this decade.
