en.Wedoany.com Reported - Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with the U.S. Department of War, securing a contract titled "Golden Dome for America" aimed at integrating long-duration energy storage systems into defense infrastructure to enhance mission readiness. The announcement was highlighted by President Donald Trump on July 15, 2026, during the Senator Dave McCormick Defense and National Security Summit in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

"Eos of Pittsburgh has just entered into a multi-million dollar partnership with the Department of War to build energy storage technology supporting our Golden Dome missile defense system. We are building a golden dome over our country, and it will be highly effective," Trump stated.

Under this initiative, Eos' Z3™ zinc-based long-duration energy storage technology will first be deployed as an initial prototype at critical facilities. The Z3 system is designed to secure power infrastructure and enhance mission readiness through resilient, long-duration electricity. The initial deployment will demonstrate the value of American-made long-duration energy storage in national security applications, with a program structure scalable to meet evolving defense needs.

"This award validates our strategy centered on American technological innovation, manufacturing, and supply chains," said Joe Mastrangelo, CEO of Eos. "Today, we prove that America can still manufacture advanced technology at scale and support our nation's most critical missions."

Eos' proprietary technology, manufactured and assembled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, combines a non-flammable aqueous zinc chemistry system, approximately 91% domestic content, and a primarily U.S.-based supply chain. The system complies with NDAA Section 842 and FEOC requirements, built around reliable performance, trusted manufacturing, and secure sourcing.

"Over the past year, we have established the relationships, compliance foundation, and technical validation points required by the Department of War," said Michelle Buczkowski, Chief Administrative Officer of Eos. "This award reflects the results of those efforts. Eos is ready to deliver at scale for the Department of War's mission."

As the U.S. strengthens the resilience of its defense and critical infrastructure, reliable electricity has become a strategic capability. Long-duration energy storage enables facilities to maintain operational readiness, enhance energy security, and provide the flexibility needed for missions requiring uninterrupted power. Selecting a commercially available American technology for this initiative reflects the growing role of advanced energy storage in supporting national readiness.

"The Golden Dome should be built on American technology. Eos' technology will help secure the power infrastructure our military relies on, while creating quality jobs in Pennsylvania," said Senator Dave McCormick.
