en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Balearic Energy Institute (IBE) will complete the solar carport project above the P1 to P5 parking lots at Parc Bit in Palma de Mallorca on July 31, with an installed capacity of 3.41 MW.

The project, with a total investment of €4.27 million, was constructed by UTE Urbia and the Granada-based engineering company Cuerva over 20 weeks. The entire project was divided into six phases, using 6,755 photovoltaic modules with a peak power of 505 W, and 24 Ingecon Sun 3Play 160TL inverters manufactured by the Basque company Ingeteam. Each phase has a capacity ranging from 328 kW to 819 kW, with string configurations between 19 and 26 modules depending on the parking area.

The module support structure uses carport frames anchored to concrete bases, with a tilt angle of 5 degrees for installing the photovoltaic modules. The carport also features offset support columns to reserve space at the edge of the parking lot for facilities such as rainwater drainage.

The plant integrates 13 Urban T22 Master Mode 3 semi-fast charging stations manufactured by the Catalan company Circutor, each with two connectors and a power output of 22 kW, while replacing five existing units.

The plant primarily supplies self-consumed electricity to public buildings within the park. Additionally, IBE recently launched a shared self-consumption plan in Palma, targeting individuals, entities, and businesses within five kilometers of Parc Bit, charging an annual fee of €100 per 1.25 kW of power applied. Electricity is received via the grid, and the distribution company automatically deducts it from the electricity bill.

This initiative is funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation (Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia – Next Generation).
